1). File Insurance Claim - Many car owners do not contact their insurance company because they believe their insurance premium will go up. This is not true, hail damage is covered under your comprehensive coverage as an Act of Nature or Act of God. If you need any assistance with filing your claim or have any questions, a United Hail Solutions customer service representative will gladly guide you through the process. Make sure to document insurance claim number and rental reservation number during the call.
Law. HB 1348
In Texas, the law requires auto insurance companies to give consumers whose cars have been damaged by hail a choice of what body shop they use. However, many insurance companies “encourage” consumers to go to a particular body shop that is a “preferred shop” with that insurance company. However are required to pay their deductible. We will estimate your car in our shop and go over the results with your insurance adjuster to make sure your car gets the proper repairs.
2). Schedule a vehicle inspection with United Hail Solutions (877) 890-2580 After you have scheduled a date and time for your vehicle to be inspected, one of our inspectors will come to your home or workplace to inspect your vehicle. If your vehicle is determined repairable through our company we will schedule a date and time for your vehicle to arrive at one of our selected shops and begin repairs.
3). Bring in your vehicle to begin repairs- Due to the current national rental vehicle shortage, if you carry rental coverage on your policy, having your insurance provider set up your rental vehicle is the fastest, easiest option for getting you into a rental vehicle. Have your agent set you up at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location of your choosing. If you choose this option you will also be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $500. However we can schedule you in one of our rental vehicles if needed.
Option 1: You can drop off your vehicle at our shop and we'll transport you to the Enterprise you've selected.
Option 2: If you pick up your vehicle from Enterprise we can meet you there to pick it up and transport to our shop.
If your policy does not cover rental coverage we can still provide a rental vehicle for you at no cost to you! Vehicles are limited and first come first serve.
4). United Hail Solutions representative will provide a timeline of when the hail damage repairs will be finished.
VEHICLE HAIL REPAIRS COMPLETE - United Hail Solutions will contact you when your vehicle is ready for pick up or provide the delivery date and time.
Turn Around Time
Average turn around time is from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on damage. Our average completion time is 7 to 10 days.
1. The insurance, It usually takes the insurance 1-5 days to come out before we can begin repairs.
2. The damage: if the damage is light to medium PDR we can have it repaired within 2 -4 days after the vehicle is approved by the insurance. If the vehicle has cracked paint from the hail, it will take 7-14 days to fix after it is approved by the insurance.
3. If your car has been severely damaged and need replacement parts and incurred body damage, it can take up to 3 weeks to properly perform repairs.
Parts:
Parts usually take 2-5 business days to come in. We order your parts directly from the dealerships as soon as the adjuster approves your vehicle for repairs.
Occasionally parts are on back order due to the volume of damage the city suffered. It can take up to 1 month for your parts to be available from the dealer. IF parts are on back order you are welcome to pick up your vehicle until the parts are available and we can install them as soon as they are delivered to our shop.
